LTX-2.5 22B video generation model

Updated

LTX-2.5 is a 22-billion parameter, open-weights "world model" designed for synchronized video and audio generation. Developed by LTX (a company spun out of Lightricks), it is built on an asymmetric dual-stream diffusion transformer architecture.

Key Features

  • Native Multi-Shot Generation: Unlike previous models that generated single clips, LTX-2.5 can render full multi-shot sequences in a single output. It maintains consistency in characters, lighting, environment, and voice across explicit cuts.
  • Synchronized Audio-Video: The model generates both video and audio simultaneously, aiming to create cohesive cinematic content.
  • Improved Fidelity: It utilizes a diffusion video decoder instead of a traditional VAE (Variational Autoencoder) for the reconstruction stage, which helps preserve fine details like textures, sharp faces, and legible text.
  • Performance: It is designed for production-grade use, with capabilities suited for simulation, physical AI, and real-time applications.

Access and Availability

  • Open Weights: The model weights and code are publicly available on platforms like Hugging Face and GitHub.
  • Deployment: It can be run locally using tools like ComfyUI, Python, and Diffusers, or accessed via LTX’s hosted API and playground.
  • Licensing: While described as "open-weights" and "open source by design," it is not completely unrestricted. It is free for individuals and organizations under $10 million in annual revenue, but requires a paid commercial agreement for larger entities.
